Wilmot Stage Stop is an upscale, legendary steakhouse, family owned and operated for six generations making it Wisconsin’s oldest tap & dining room. Our signature steaks, lobster tails, homemade salad dressings and specially baked potatoes have been bringing people back through our door for over 150 years.

For over one hundred and sixty years, the Wilmot Stage Stop (formerly the Wilmot Hotel) has served weary travelers as well as vacationers and tourists.  With a heritage that saw the termination of the Indian Wars, the Wilmot Stage Stop has truly had a “ring-side seat” to history. 

With this in mind, the family has made every effort in its modernization program to show the respect due to the old structure.  The feeling of it’s antique charm has not been overlooked in restoring the old hotel to its position of former prominence.

Visit our upstairs and take a walk back through time. View hundreds of historical relics, newspaper clippings, photographs and antique furniture. Stop in the gift shop and pick up something special to show others you were here, and be part of the history.
